SA Business Grants: Additional

The SA Government has released additional grants to support businesses during the current Covid-19 outbreak.


The additional grants are:


Tourism, hospitality & gym grant - turnover based payment (January 2022)

  • $6,000 for employing businesses, $2,000 for non-employing businesses, additional $2,000 if in CBD, additional $14,000 if turnover above $2 million

  • To be eligible for this grant, the turnover for the business for the 3 weeks from 10 January 2022 to 30 January 2022 must have declined by at least 30% compared to 10 January 2020 to 30 January 2020.

  • Additionally, the ANZSIC code of the business must fall into one of the codes listed on this webpage. OR the business must be required to operate under the 1 person per 7 square metre density restriction.

  • This grant will be automatically paid to businesses that have applied for and received the December turnover based payment.

  • Other businesses that experience the required reduction in turnover must submit an application.


Business hardship grant (January 2022)

  • $6,000 for employing businesses, $2,000 for non-employing businesses, additional $2,000 if in CBD.

  • To be eligible for this grant, the turnover for the business for the 3 weeks from 10 January 2022 to 30 January 2022 must have declined by at least 50% compared to 10 January 2020 to 30 January 2020.

  • This grant will be automatically paid to businesses that have applied for and received the December Business Hardship Grant.

  • Other businesses that experience the required reduction in turnover must submit an application.

  • Please note businesses will not be eligible to receive a Business Hardship Grant if they have received support under any of the following State Government COVID-19 support packages launched on and after 27 December 2021, including: 1) Tourism, hospitality and gym grant - automatic payment; 2) Tourism, hospitality and gym grant - turnover based payment; or 3) Major Events Support Grant.
